Police seek Wayne Gretzky statue vandal

On Tuesday, October 1, 2013, Brantford Police were advised that sometime between 11:30 p.m. Monday,September 30, and 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, the newly erected statues of Wayne Gretzky were spray painted by unknown person or persons.  The statues, which stand at the main entrance of the newly renovated Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre, depict the Great One holding up the Stanley Cup as well as a statue of Wayne Gretzky as a youth.   The mischief was discovered and immediately reported to Police.

Brantford Police are currently investigating this incident and believe there are persons in the community who have information that could assist investigators in determining the identity of the person(s) responsible.
